Another WOW, thanks

Another Big Thanks goes out to Sherrill Graff from http://latenightstamper-stampandscrap.blogspot.com/.  She has posted a blog about ME, yes ME.  I was super shocked to see it.  I am now a Late Night stamper member.  I just wanted to tell everyone how much I appreciate all your kind words.  Thank you so much!

As for Stampin posts.  I will not be posting anything new card wise until after Monday.  I have such an insane schedule the past days and through the weekend.  Between writing my 14 page paper due for my law class and studying for finals, I am running my first ever 5K tomorrow, along with babysitting for friends and another open house Sunday after church and family photos, I need a nap....WOW, just typing it I got overwhelmed again.  So I will be back to make projects next week before I jet off to South Dakota for a vacation to see my family.

WOW, Thank you!

Hi Stampers,

Today I felt honored to have my blog and punch cards shown on Kim Score's blog http://www.paperpunchaddiction.com/.  I put a lot of work into my cards and especially my punch cards.  So it's nice to have them recognized.  Big Thanks to Kim.

Here it is....Finally

Hi Everyone,

So I recently won the Walt Disney Contest on Stampin Up with my Mickey Mouse card.  So many of you have emailed me about how I made it.  So as promised here is the card and instructions.  If you have further questions, feel free to ask me.  My daughter, Madi loves Mickey Mouse so this card was fun.

I made this card using a double side step card:

Mickey: Made using circle punches, I hand drew the white part on his face then cut it out and added it.  I also hand drew the white part of his eyes.  I used the owl punch for the black part of his eye. His hat is also hand drawn

Minnie:  She was also made using the circle punches and made her face like Mickey's.  Hand drew them.  Same with her body, bows and hat.  For her brim on her hat, I used the 1/2 in circle punch.

Goofy:  Made with large extra large punch for base of head, then used oval punch for eyes and nose.  Hand cut hair, ears, mouth and teeth.  His hat is made with punches too.

Trees: are made using the oval punches.  Then you just keep adding to them.  I put them all on a piece of card brown card stock to support them.  Then used a star.  I cut out ornaments with circle punches.

Presents: just cut squares and wrapped them with thin paper.

I hope this helps.  If you have further questions, please let me know.

World Card Making Day

Hi Stampers,

For World Card Making Day, on Sunday Oct 3rd, Iwill be hosting a card making get together at my house.  If you are interested in joining for a fun day of making cards please email me at schurgerbarnes@hotmail.com.  Seats are filling up fast so sign up quickly.

It happens every day: you walk to the mailbox, pull out the mail, and shuffle through a stack of ever-present bills and junk mail. But every once in a great while, hiding among the dull and dreary stacks of envelopes, you find something that makes your heart beat a little faster and brings a smile to your face--someone has taken the time to send you a card. What a great feeling!

Never made a card? No problem! As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I am happy to get you started in this immensely fulfilling hobby. Please join me on Sunday October 3rd.

Join thousands of others in giving someone a happy surprise in the mailbox this season!

Give Thanks Card

Hi Stampers,

First I want to say, that I will upload the Disney Contest card that I recently won with tomorrow and with the instructions.

Secondly, please enjoy this Thanksgiving Card that I made using the build a bear.  I also used the Big shot gerber daisy for the turkey and for the Native American build a bear's head dress.  I used the oval punch to make the pumpkin too.  I hope you enjoy it.
